The present invention relates to a system and a method for detecting a defect in a secondary battery. The method for detecting a defect in a secondary battery in an inspection process for selecting a secondary battery having a defect from a plurality of secondary batteries comprises: a step of measuring an open circuit voltage (OCV) of the secondary battery during an active aging process; a step of measuring a characteristic voltage of the secondary battery in a characteristic voltage section; a step of calculating a first voltage change value based on the measured OCV and characteristic voltage; a step of comparing the first voltage change value with a reference value to firstly determine whether the secondary battery is detective; a step of measuring voltages of the secondary batteries at the time of receiving battery packs; a step of calculating a second voltage change value based on the measured OCV and the voltages at the time of receiving the battery packs; and a step of comparing the second voltage change value with the reference value to secondly determine whether the secondary battery is detective. |
