Spring clips 10 for attaching a windshield moulding 21 to a frame 23 fitted with headed studs 24, each comprise upper and lower flanges 11, 12 joined by a web 13, a slot 14 to accommodate the stud 24 extending from one flange through the web to the other flange and the lower flange having means, such as a pressed-out lug 17, to engage the moulding 21. The upper flange is stepped at 18 and the slot has lateral slits at that point to form abutments for the head of the stud 24. The slot in the lower flange is enlarged at 15 and the lower flange may have tongues (33), Fig. 7 (not shown), extending back from the lug towards the end of the upper flange to prevent inter-engagement of the clips during bulk handling.</p> |
