According to one embodiment of the present invention, an operation method of an image display device includes the following steps: transmitting a voice acquisition command signal to one or more peripheral devices connected to the image display device; receiving one or more voice signals of a user voice, obtained by the peripheral devices having received the voice acquisition command signal, and a voice signal of the user voice, obtained by the image display device; comparing a plurality of the obtained voice signals; determining a voice signal to be an object of voice recognition based on the comparison result; recognizing the user voice based on the determined voice signal; and performing a control operation corresponding to the recognized voice. |
