According to an embodiment of the present invention, an engine for deactivating a cylinder using hydraulic control comprises: a valve to open and close an intake port or an exhaust port connected to a cylinder; a cylinder deactivation mechanism operated according a supplied oil pressure to limit a movement of the valve; a high pressure flow passage in which a prescribed oil pressure is formed; a low pressure flow passage formed on one side of the high pressure flow passage and connected to the cylinder deactivation mechanism; an orifice which constantly connects the high pressure flow passage and the low pressure flow passage, has a prescribed inner radius to maintain an oil pressure of the low pressure flow passage in a prescribed range lower than the oil pressure of the high pressure flow passage, and is integrated into a cylinder head; and a control valve to supply the oil pressure of the high pressure flow passage to the low pressure flow passage according to an operation condition to operate the cylinder deactivation mechanism. |
