According to an embodiment of the present invention, a cell balancing device using a fan includes: a fan for the control of temperature in a battery tray; a cell sensing and selecting part sensing a voltage of each of multiple battery cells, and outputting a voltage of a selected cell by selecting the cell having a higher voltage than a reference voltage, among the battery cells; a selecting part supplying a voltage of an external power supply or voltage of the cell sensing and selecting part to the fan according to a control signal; and a control part determining whether a voltage deviation between the battery cells is not less than a reference value based on the voltage of each of the battery cells, sensed by the cell sensing and selecting part, supplying the voltage of the external power supply to the fan by controlling the operation of the selecting part when the voltage deviation is less than the reference value, and supplying the voltage of the cell having the higher voltage than the reference voltage, to the fan by controlling the operation of the selecting part when the voltage deviation is not less than the reference value. Therefore, the present invention is capable of eliminating risk of heating by balancing resistance while consuming a large amount of energy; relatively easily developing the technology; improving balancing efficiency at the minimum costs; and significantly reducing time for balancing. |
