The present invention relates to a method and a device for modifying a pre-transmitted integrated communications message. The method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving edited text of a message to be edited, which is selected from a message list pre-transmitted from a user; generating comparison character string data in which at least one of a letter before the edited text and a letter after the edited text is added to the edited text; comparing the length of the comparison character string with the length of the entire character string of the message to be edited; transmitting an edited message including the comparison character row data when the length of the comparison character string is the length of the entire character string of the message to be edited or shorter; and transmitting the entire character string data of the message to be edited, which includes the edited text, when the length of the comparison character string is the length of the entire character string of the message to be edited or longer.
