The present invention relates to an osmotic pressure derivative for purifying water containing foreign matters by means a purification separation membrane based on a forward osmosis method. The present invention further relates to a separation device. More specifically, the present invention provides a osmotic pressure derivative comprise: a polymer containing a carboxylic group (RCOOH); and a cation charged by a bonding with the carboxylic group-containing polymer. The present invention also provides a separation device using the derivative.
