PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to visually recognize lighting in a satisfactory way from any direction with respect to an image forming apparatus, in the case where information related to operation of the image forming apparatus is reported to the user on the basis of the lighting.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a state display part 33 which displays state information by means of lighting. The state display part 33 is provided at an apex part 305T of a protruding housing 305 which is protruding upward from a main body housing. An LED lamp 43A is disposed inside the protruding housing 305, and its light is incident on a light guide unit 50. A tip portion 53 of the light guide unit 50 is exposed at the apex part 305T of the protruding housing 305 that is at the highest position of the image forming apparatus, and the light is dissipated from the tip portion 53 to an outside according to the state information. Thus, visibility of the lighting is satisfactory in the state display part 33. |
