PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact zoom lens having a high magnification and an imaging apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group L1 which has negative refractive power, a second lens group L2 which has positive refractive power, a third lens group L3 which has negative refractive power, and a fourth lens group L4, and satisfies the following conditional expressions: 3.7<&bgr;2 t/&bgr;2w<7.2 and 0.32<(&bgr;3 t/&bgr;3w).(&bgr;4 t/&bgr;4w)/(&bgr;2 t/&bgr;2w)<0.70, where &bgr;iw is the lateral magnification at the wide angle end of an i-th group and &bgr;it is the lateral magnification at the telephoto end of the i-th group. |
