an extraction unit configured to extract a depolarizing region in a polarization-sensitive tomographic image of an object; an estimation unit configured to estimate a reference line using the extracted depolarizing region; and a display control unit configured to cause a display unit to display, in different display modes, (a) a region in the depolarizing region that exists at a deeper position than the estimated reference line and (b) a region in the depolarizing region that exists at a shallower position than the estimated reference line. |
