PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction of a liquid discharge head which includes a support member and a recording element substrate and can prevent the recording element substrate from rotating with respect to the support member after a heating process.SOLUTION: A liquid chamber member 3 mounted with a recording element substrate 4 has a construction to which a non-mounting portion 3c is added in both sides or one side of a recording element substrate mounting portion 3b. The outer shape of the non-mounting portion 3c is devised so that the rotation of the recording element substrate mounting portion 3b, and thus the rotation of the recording element substrate 4 is hard to occur after the heating process of a liquid discharge head 1.
