1. A method for leaching a PCD table for a cutter element, the method comprising:
(a) positioning a PCD table within a leaching chamber, wherein the leaching chamber is disposed within a housing and has a volume defined by a plunger movably disposed within the housing; (b) submerging the PCD table in an acid within the leaching chamber; (c) moving the plunger within the housing to decrease the volume within the leaching chamber; (d) allowing air in the leaching chamber to flow from the leaching chamber through a channel extending through the plunger during (c); (e) sealing the leaching chamber; and (f) increasing the pressure within the leaching chamber to a pressure greater than or equal to 20,000 psi after (e). |
