The present invention relates to a transmission device of a circular knitting machine using a timing belt, which makes a speed reducing device using a timing pulley and the timing belt in place of a gear box in a conventional transmission device of a knitting machine, thereby obtaining multi-purposed effects such as solving oil leakage and mechanical noises, and reducing a mechanical repair period, etc. A desirable embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing unit formed at a leg of the circular knitting machine and including an internal space unit; a driving motor configured within the housing unit, where the timing pulley is shaft-installed at a rotational shaft; a driven shaft including an upper pulley and a lower pulley at an upper end and a lower end, respectively, where the lower pulley is connected to the timing pulley of the driving motor via the timing belt to be fixated and be rotated; and a rotational shaft where the timing pulley is shaft-installed at a lower end, connecting the timing pulley to the upper pulley of the driven shaft via the timing belt to operate a cylinder of the circular knitting machine.
