PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cheap OCT catheter.SOLUTION: Catheters are used together with optical coherence tomography (OCT), comprising an optical fiber core having first refractive index and an interface medium having second refractive index, in which the first refractive index and the second refractive index are defined so that a reception electronic apparatus configured to receive optical radiation reflected from a reference interface and a target may be operated in total noise range within 5 dB from shot noise limit. These OCT catheters may comprise silicone die mirror comprising reflection cover mounted in the interface medium. The optical fiber may be fixed just on distal end of the catheters, capable of being managed in the handle attached on proximal edge of the catheter body and being configured to rotate both of the catheter body and the optical fiber relatively to the handle. |
