PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control damper exhibiting a vibration control effect at an earthquake without generating excessive stress or displacement at normal time.SOLUTION: A vibration control damper 100 includes: a damper 20 installed in a superstructure 1; a reaction force member 30 installed in the damper 20; a stationary frame 40 installed in a substructure 2; and a lock device installed in the stationary frame 40. At normal time, the reaction force member 30 can relatively move to the stationary frame 40. When a weight 54 of the lock device 50 stars pendular movement by excitation at an earthquake, a combined body 52 is inclined, and a combined part 52a (or a combined part 52b) provided in the combined body 52 is combined with a recess part 32 of the reaction force member 30, and thereby the reaction force member 30 cannot relatively move to the stationary frame 40. |
