PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle that can notify a user of the limitation of regenerative braking force in appropriate timing in accordance with a degree of deceleration of the vehicle.SOLUTION: In an electric vehicle 100, an HV-ECU 50 feedback-controls a power balance between an electricity storage device B and an electric motor MG so that regenerative power generated by the electric motor MG when the vehicle decelerates may not exceed the upper limit value for charged electricity of the electricity storage device B, and a state value of the electricity storage device B may not exceed a predetermined allowable value. A notification unit 90 notifies a user of the vehicle of the limitation of regenerative braking force when the generation of the regenerative braking force by the electric motor MG is limited by the feedback control. The HV-ECU 50 determines whether or not the notification unit 90 should notify the user of the limitation of the regenerative braking force based on the result of comparison between the upper limit value for charged electricity and a determination value. When an amount of feedback control is equal to or above a threshold value, the HV-ECU 50 compares a value obtained by reflecting the amount of feedback control to the charged electric power upper limit value with the determination value. |
