PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card insertion portion such that the whole peripheral portion of the card insertion portion can be lit uniformly, and dully and clearly.SOLUTION: An insertion portion 4 for a card reader in which a card insertion port 3 which a card 2 is inserted therein is formed includes: a light guide member 13 that surrounds at least a part of a periphery of the card insertion port 3 when viewed from an insertion direction of the card 2; light sources 7 to 10 that project light toward the light guide member 13; a reflection member 11 that is disposed at a depth side with respect to the light guide member 13 in the insertion direction of the card 2; and a cover member 14 in which the card insertion port 3 is formed and that covers at least the light guide member 13 and the light sources 7 to 10 from a near side in the insertion direction of the card 2. In the card insertion portion 4, the cover member 14 is formed of translucent light transmissive material. |
