PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a cutter unit having a structure capable of easily attaching/detaching a cutter unit to/from a body part side of a printer with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: The printer cuts a sheet into sheet pieces while feeding the same to produce a medium, and includes a cutter unit 4, and a cutter unit holding part 8 for detachably holding the cutter unit 4. The cutter unit 4 comprises a first engaging part (projection 4a) and a second engaging part (projections 4c and 4d) formed in a peripheral edge part. The cutter unit holding part 8 comprises a first engaged part (recess 81a) which is detachably engaged with the projection 4a of the cutter unit 4 and is arranged in a peripheral edge part of a discharge port 8h for discharging the sheet in the cutter unit holding part 8, and a second engaged part (recesses 8c and 8d) which is engaged with the second engaging part (projections 4c and 4d)of the cutter unit 4 to support the cutter unit 4 and is formed in a peripheral part of the discharge port 8h. |
