<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To classify particles each having the same specific gravity with high precision in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A wet classification device 1 includes: a tank 2 into which slurry is injected; an upper electrode 3 to be arranged in the upper part of the tank 2; a lower electrode 4 to be arranged in the lower part of the tank 2: a voltage control part 5 for applying a voltage to the upper electrode 3 and the lower electrode 4; a partition plate 6 for classification, which is arranged for partitioning the inside of the tank 2 vertically; and a tank support unit 7 for supporting the tank 2. After the partition plate 6 for classification is removed from the tank 2, the particle-containing slurry is injected into the tank 2 and the voltage is applied to the upper electrode 3 and the lower electrode 4. Then, particles separate from one another vertically according to the particle size thereof since the particles are moved at different electrophoretic velocities according to the particle size thereof by means of the particle size dependence of zeta potential. After that, the partition plate 6 for classification is inserted into the tank 2 and the upper slurry and the lower slurry which are partitioned by the partition plate 6 for classification, are recovered separately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
