Salts of aza-bicyclic di-aryl ethers and methods to make them or their precursors

Disclosed herein are fumarate, maleate, chloride, phosphate, succinate or malonate salts of (R)-3-(6-(4-methylphenyl)-pyridin-3-yloxy)-I-aza-bicyclo[2.2.2]octane (compound of formula I). Also disclosed are methods of preparing said salts and pharmaceutical compositions of said salts for treating disorders which respond to a7-nAChR modulation such as psychiatric (e.g. schizophrenia) and/or neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease).
