Double glazing method, control unit and spacer assembly

A method of fixing a double glazing sheet to a window pane, including the steps of: providing a heat activated adhesive seal for extending substantially adjacent a perimeter of the double glazing sheet; arranging the seal and the double glazing sheet so that the seal is brought into engagement with the window pane and the double glazing sheet; applying heat to the seal to activate said seal and to fix the double glazing sheet to the window pane, thereby at least partially defining an insulating space between the double glazing sheet and the window pane, the insulating space being accessible via a conduit; and drawing air from the insulating space through the conduit.
