PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting device and a position correction method for a mounting head in the same that can perform position correction on the mounting head with no time loss.SOLUTION: A head moving mechanism 16 comprises an X-axis beam 16a which extends in an X-axis direction and moves a mounting head 15 in the X-axis direction, and a Y-axis beam 16b for moving the X-axis beam 16a in a Y-axis direction. The Y-axis beam 16b is moved between a pickup work position P1 at which the mounting head 15 picks up a component 3 from a part feeder 13 and a mounting work position P2 at which the mounting head 15 mounts the component 3 onto a substrate 2. Under the state that the X-axis beam 16a is located at the pickup work position P1, a reference portion 21 mounted on a base table 11 is imaged by a reference portion imaging camera 20 provided to the X-axis beam 16a, and position correction is performed on the mounting head 15 on the basis of the thus-obtained image. |
