The first electronic device includes a user input reception device configured to receive a user input to request the first electronic device to generate a chat room. The first electronic device also includes a processor configured to generate the chat room for use by a plurality of electronic devices. The first electronic device further includes a transmitter configured to broadcast information to provide a notification that the chat room is generated and to transmit the information to notify that the chat room is generated to an access point (AP) connected with the first electronic device.
