An optical imaging system for pickup comprising, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens element having positive refractive power; a second lens element having refractive power; a third lens element having refractive power; a fourth lens element having refractive power, wherein both of an object-side surface and an image-side surface of the fourth lens element are aspheric; a fifth lens element having negative refractive power, wherein both of an object-side surface and an image-side surface of the fifth lens element are aspheric; and a sixth lens element with refractive power having an image-side surface being concave in a paraxial region thereof, wherein both of an object-side surface and the image-side surface of the sixth lens element are aspheric, the image-side surface of the sixth lens element has at least one inflection point, and the sixth lens element is made of plastic; wherein the optical imaging system for pickup has a total of six lens elements with refractive power, the first lens element, the second lens element, the third lens element, the fourth lens element, the fifth lens element and the sixth lens element are all singlet lens elements, an axial distance between an object-side surface of the first lens element and an image plane is TTL, half of a diagonal length of an effective photosensitive area of an image sensor is ImgH, a distance between a non-axial tangent point of a tangent line perpendicular to an optical axis of the image-side surface of the sixth lens element and the optical axis is YC, a focal length of the optical imaging system is f, and the following conditions are satisfied: TTL/ImgH<2.1; and0.1<YC/f<0.8.
