PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which there is no solution at present about a method of transporting a user credential between UE that uses an unreliable non-3GPP access and a core network and there is no PCO mechanism defined between UE and ePDG or an equivalent thing.SOLUTION: The method of supporting authentication for an external packet data network through an unreliable access network illustratively includes steps of: authenticating a user device for a communication network providing the user device with connectivity by exceeding an access network to which a security measure is not implemented in response to a first authentication request that is an authentication request for a key information exchange mechanism and contains authentication data; and receiving a second authentication request for authenticating the user device for an external packet data network of the communication network.
