PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of static leakage, in a sealing device which is formed by combining a rotation-side seal member and a static-side seal member.SOLUTION: A rotation-side seal member has a sleeve part fixed to an external peripheral face at rotation, and a flange part arranged at one end of the sleeve part. The flange part is molded of a rubber-shaped elastic body as a whole or partially at an external peripheral side, and is made to function as an elastic valve part. When the rotation of the rotating shaft is stopped, the elastic valve part tightly contacts with the static-side seal member, and when the rotating shaft rotates, the elastic valve part is elastically deformed by a centrifugal force, and separated from the static-side seal member. Furthermore, the elastic valve part tightly contacts with a tip part of a seal lip arranged at the static-side seal member so as to be separable, or tightly contacts with a machine inside end face part of the static-side seal member so as to be separable. |
