摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing device and a position correcting method that correct accurately displacement of a relative position between a light source substrate and a lens array by a simpler structure than before.SOLUTION: An optical writing device 120 has: a light source group in which a plurality of light sources S are arrayed two-dimensionally in a main scan direction X parallel to a rotating shaft of a photoreceptor and in a sub-scan direction Y crossing the main scan direction X; a light source substrate 121 that holds the light source group; and a lens array 122, arranged between the light source substrate 121 and the photoreceptor, in which a plurality of lenses L are arranged in two rows or more in the sub-scan direction Y. In the light source substrate 121, at a position away from a center line in the sub-scan direction Y of the light source substrate 121 when viewed from an optical axis direction Z is provided a light source T for correction that corrects a relative position between the light source substrate 121 and the lens array 122.
