PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket connector that is able to inhibit separation of wire from a socket contact.SOLUTION: A socket connector comprises a socket housing 11 and a socket contact 21. The socket housing 11 has a wire arrangement groove 12 in which the socket contact 21 is arranged; and a contact accommodating part 14 provided nearer to an end part in a fourth direction D4 than to the wire arrangement groove 12, and communicating with the wire arrangement groove 12. The socket contact 21 has a body part 22, a contact part 24 accommodated in the contact accommodating part 14, and a pressure contact part 23 provided on the bottom plate 22 of the body part 22. The pressure contact part 23 has two wire sandwiching members 23a. The two wire sandwiching members 23a have first portions 23a1 sandwiching a wire W, and second portions 23a2 located nearer to a first direction D1 than to the first portion 23a1. The second portions 23a2 is narrower than the first portions 23a1 in terms of the interval between the two wire sandwiching members 23. |
