PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide-type constant velocity joint which can prevent the slip-out of rolling bodies and an inside joint member at assembling, and can be made compact in size and reduced in weight, and a manufacturing method of the slide-type constant velocity joint.SOLUTION: In a slide-type constant velocity joint 1 in which rolling bodies 30 and an inside joint member 20 are accommodated slidably in an axial direction in an outside joint member 10, the slide-type constant velocity joint comprises: a penetration hole 11b which is formed at an end face 11a of an opening part 11 of a rolling body guide face 14 of the outside joint member 10; and a retention member 50 having a shaft part 52, and a lock part 51 which is formed at one end of the shaft part 52 and larger in diameter than the shaft part 52. In the retention member 50, the shaft part 52 is fixed to the penetration hole 11b, and an external peripheral part 51a of the lock part 51 is located inside a radial direction rather than the rolling body guide face 14. |
