摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating a least-square parameter from n data pairs with smaller arithmetic processing and storage amounts in a PLC. <P>SOLUTION: A least-square parameter calculation method relating to the invention includes steps that: a PLC 10 calculates total sums of first data, of second data, of first data square values obtained by squaring the first data and of mutual data multiplication values obtained by multiplying the first data by the second data, on the basis of a recurrence formula; the PLC 10 uses a predetermined arithmetic expression to calculate the calculated total sums of the first data, of the second data, of the first square values and of the mutual data multiplication values, and calculates a least square parameter; and the PLC 10 outputs the least square parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
