The present invention proposes an apparatus and a method for transmitting emergency call information, which generate emergency call information with different content on the basis of an MSD message and transmit each emergency call information to public safety answering points (PSAP) and surrounding vehicles according to a predetermined rule. The apparatus for transmitting the emergency call information according to the present invention includes: a vehicle accident information generation part for generating vehicle accident information by including current position of an accident vehicle if a vehicle accident occurs; an emergency call information generation part which generates first emergency call information on the basis of information related with a first communication network and the vehicle accident information, and generates second emergency call information on the basis of information related with a second communication network and information selected among the information included in the vehicle accident information; and an emergency call information transmission part which transmits the first emergency call information to a device at a predetermined position using the first communication network, and transmits the second emergency call information to other vehicles using the second communication network. |
