PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide neurotoxin polypeptides with shortened duration of biological activity in a subject, which comprises at least one degradation signal in the light chain thereof, as well as uses thereof as medicaments.SOLUTION: Provided are: a neurotoxin polypeptide exhibiting shortened duration of causing muscle paralysis in a subject, where the polypeptide comprises at least one degradation signal in its light chain and the muscle paralysis continues shorter than 4, 3 or two weeks; a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide; and antibodies that specifically bind to the polypeptide. Also provided are medicaments comprising the polynucleotide and polypeptide as well as specific therapeutic application thereof.
