PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a solar battery glass substrate having a high power generation efficiency, a high glass transition point temperature, and a predetermined average thermal expansion coefficient, which are well balanced; and a solar battery with the solar battery glass substrate.SOLUTION: A solar battery glass substrate comprises a matrix glass composition including 5-13.0% of SrO and 0.5-4.0% of BaO in units of mass percent based on oxide. The solar battery glass substrate further comprises: -4.00-5.00% of AlO-NaO-KO-MgO; and 0.08-0.5 pts.mass of Fe to 100 pts.mass of the matrix glass composition in terms of FeO, in which &bgr;-OH is 0.12-0.4 mm. |
