PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fluophor having reduced photo absorption component and enhanced energy conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a fluophor having a composition represented by the general formula of SiAlON:Re, where Re is an activator containing at least one kind selected from a group consisting of manganese, cerium and europium and 0<Z<4.2, including a process of firing the composition represented by the general formula while applying pressure isotropically at a temperature of 1500°C to 2200°C and in 100 MPa or more nitrogen atmosphere and a process of conducting an annealing treatment by heating the fired body in atmosphere containing hydrogen at 1400°C to 2000°C. |
