METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DYNAMICALLY ALLOCATING H-ARQ PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for dynamically allocating a hybrid-automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) process in a wireless transmit/receive unit for supporting an enhanced uplink.SOLUTION: A wireless transmit/receive unit WTRU 102 provides an H-ARQ process 124 for supporting a transmission on an enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH). This system receives component information indicating whether or not the H-ARQ process is associated with a specific dedicated channel medium access control (MAC-d) flow; allocates one H-ARQ process among the associated H-ARQ processes to a data transmission from the MAC-d flow for each transmission time interval (TTI); and transmits the data from the MAC-d flow on the E-DCH by using the allocated H-ARQ process.
