<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to obtain a retrieval result which reduces mental load of the user by simple processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image retrieval device which calculates a rotation degree in a process of calculating a local feature amount necessary for a retrieval, determines, when displaying an image as a result of the retrieval, the necessity of rotation normalization according to the estimated rotation degree, and displays, when the rotation degree is equal to or more than a predetermined value, a sample image rotationally normalized with reference to a query image. Accordingly, a user can reduce load caused by a mental rotation when confirming the retrieval result, which is obtained by suppressing the amount of calculation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
