The present invention relates to a dietic composition for reinforcing physical ability comprising rhus vernificlua stokes as an active component. The rhus vernificlua stokes of the present invention is capable of greatly increasing the maximum swimming capacity at a compulsive swimming test, of reducing blood lactate increased by the exercise by reducing the in-vivo lactate dehydrogenase, and of reducing free radicals generated by the exercise by increasing the activity of in-vivo superoxide dismutase and catalase, thereby reinforcing the physical ability of a user by suppressing the oxidative stress of cells.
