A dissolved air filtration (DAF) sludge processing method that allows the processing of DAF which contains, or had contained, low melting point fats and oils which have in the past prevented the successful drying of the solids present which includes a low temperature mechanical dewatering step carried out at or below 30°C which creates a sludge filter cake.
