Provided is a tire tread rubber composition for which the balance of wet performance, abrasion resistance and snow performance has been improved over previous levels. Said tire tread rubber composition is a rubber composition in which 66-110 parts by weight of a filler comprising at least 50 weight% of silica are blended with 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber comprising at least 40 weight% of a styrene butadiene rubber with modified ends, 8-35 weight% of natural rubber, and 15-40 weight% of a butadiene rubber. The styrene butadiene rubber with modified ends is such that the functional end groups thereof are derived from a compound that reacts with silanol groups, the styrene unit content thereof is 38-48 weight%, and the oil extension oil content thereof is less than 30 weight%. The ratio (BR/NR) of the amount of butadiene rubber (BR) blended in the natural rubber (NR) is greater than 1.0 and not more than 2.5. The brittle temperature of the rubber composition is not more than -45°C. |
