PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrodesulfurization method by use of byproduct hydrogen of an electric deionization type water-processing device by which a minute amount of hydrogen produced at a cathode of the electric deionization type water-processing device is used effectively and a fuel battery system according to the hydrodesulfurization method.SOLUTION: Provided are: a fuel battery system including an electric deionization type water-processing device; a hydrodesulfurization method by use of byproduct hydrogen of an electric deionization type water-processing device in the fuel battery system; and a hydrodesulfurization system by use of byproduct hydrogen of an electric deionization type water-processing device in the fuel battery system. The method comprises the steps of: exhausting, from the electric deionization type water-processing device, hydrogen and oxygen produced as by-products in the device through separate lines; and using the exhausted hydrogen as hydrogen for hydrodesulfurization of a material gas for modification gas generation. |
