PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a delay in a trading communication between an order router and an electronic exchange in an electronic trading system.SOLUTION: An electronic trading system comprises one or more client devices 202 connected to an electronic exchange 220 via one or more gateways 210 and at least one order router 214 to 218. A trading message traffic monitor 222 monitors traffic between the order routers 214 to 218 and the electronic exchange 220 and compares a traffic amount going through the order routers 214 to 218 to a threshold value. The threshold value may be preliminarily determined or may be provided by a user, a trader, an administrator or other parties. When the traffic amount going through the order routers exceeds the threshold value, one or more trading sessions allocated to the order routers 214 to 218 are allocated to other routers 214 to 218. |
