<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in focus detection accuracy in pupil division type phase difference detection method. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging element of the invention is characterized in that a microlens, a deflection element for separating a light beam passing through the microlens into a pair of separation light beams, and a pixel having a pair of photoelectric conversion elements for receiving the pair of separation light beams are integrally provided on a semiconductor substrate, and the pair of photoelectric conversion elements output focus detection signals for focus detection in accordance with the pair of separation light beams. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
