PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high voltage generation device capable of outputting a high voltage for which the time for an output voltage of an output section to reach zero volt is corrected in the case where a half cycle of an AC voltage ends.SOLUTION: The high voltage generation device includes: a plus high voltage generation circuit 30 which generates a plus-side high voltage by boosting and rectifying a low voltage; a minus high voltage generation circuit 31 which generates a minus-side high voltage by boosting and rectifying a low voltage; an output section 32 which adds output of the plus high voltage generation means and output of the minus high voltage generation means to generate AC output; and a control section 40 which corrects the time for an output voltage of the output section to reach zero volt in the case where a half cycle of an AC voltage of the output section ends.
