<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely identify a cause of load abnormality arising in a drive source of a secondary transfer roller. <P>SOLUTION: A load abnormality detection device executes the steps of: detecting an abnormality of a load on a driving source 260 of a second rotating body 270 that contacts a first rotating body 220; acquiring a value of control element for controlling drive of the driving source 260 as a first value, with the second rotating body coming into contact with the first rotating body 220; acquiring a value of control element as a second value, with the second rotating body 270 separated from the first rotating body 220; and determining whether load abnormality is related to a first drive mechanism including the second rotating body 270 or is related to a second drive mechanism 400 driven by the same driving source 260, on the basis of a proportion of the first value to the second value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
