An iris identification based mobile terminal identity authentication processing method and system are provided by the present invention. The iris characteristic data of a user are packaged and used as iris identity data, and the iris identity data is used as an unique identifier of the user for identity authentication; when the mobile terminal is unlocked, the iris characteristic data of the current user obtained by scanning is compared with pre-stored iris identity data; if the iris characteristic data is the same as the pre-stored iris identity data, the mobile terminal is unlocked. The iris identification authentication is used for realizing user identity authentication and application the logging of program.
