The device has a handle housing (10) including a handle (100), and receiving an electric motor (12). A gear reduction housing (11) receives a gear reduction unit (16) whose sun gear cooperates with a drive shaft (15) of the motor. The gear reduction unit includes a planet carrier cooperating with a rotating end element (17) that is configured for cooperating with an element to be screwed. The gear reduction housing is linked to the handle housing by a rotating link, which is configured such that a negligible reaction force is transmitted to the handle housing during a screwing operation.
