Provided is a neutrophil removal column with which the number of platelets in in vivo circulating blood can be controlled to a range that maintains hemostasis capability, and the viable cell percentage among neutrophils in the in vivo circulating blood (ratio of viable neutrophils to all neutrophils) can be increased. Provided is a neutrophil removal column for increasing the viable cell percentage among neutrophils in in vivo circulating blood, in which a fibrous carrier of polyethylene terephthalate, the surface of which has a hydrophilic polymer (HM-3) obtained by solution radical polymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DM), is packed into a container having a capacity of 125 mL; the total surface area of the fibrous carrier is 10.5 m2 or greater; and the fibrous carrier is formed from a carrier having an average fiber diameter of 1.4 µm or larger.
