Electronic cam switching device

The device (40) has an absolute value rotary encoder (41), decentralized cam switches (42.1-42.x) , where a real-time Ethernet bus system (43) connects the rotary encoder and the switches and is arranged for signal transmission between the rotary encoder and the switches. The bus system is realized by point-to-point-connection between the rotary encoder and decentralized cam switches. A slave-to-slave communication present in a real-time- Ethernet-variant Ethernet for control automation technology (EtherCat) is used for realizing the real-time bus system.
