This endoscope device comprises: a flexible insertion section having a channel formed therein; a flexible tube section provided at a base end section of the insertion section; a first curved section provided further on the tip side than the flexible tube section; a second curved section provided further on the tip side than the first curved section; an observation section provided further on the tip side than the second curved section in the insertion section; a first drive unit that bends and operates the first curved section by advancing and retreating a first operation wire connected to the first curved section; a second drive unit that bends and operates the second curved section; and a control unit that generates a second drive signal on the basis of a first drive signal, sends the first drive signal to the first drive unit, and sends the second drive signal to the second drive unit. The first drive unit releases a hold on the first operation wire, on the basis of the first drive signal from the control unit, and the second drive unit bends the second curved section such that the observation section faces a treatment target, on the basis of the second drive signal from the control unit. |
