Disclosed are an error detection method, apparatus and system for a POTN. The method comprises: an intermediate node in a POTN determines whether an error threshold-crossing has occurred, the intermediate node being connected to another intermediate node through an OTN link; and the intermediate node sends, according to a determining result, an alarm packet to a downstream node corresponding to an affected service. By means of the present invention, the problem of low accuracy of error detection in a POTN in the prior art is solved, more accurate detection of performance degradation and more reliable protection switching in the POTN can be achieved, and the reliability of a PTN service can be improved. |
